Old Town
Quarter founded in the beginning of the 13th century all around the medieval market. In this part of Prague city you can find many exciting places, you have to walk to the Charles bridge, you will be suprised by the authentic beauty of medieval town still living nowadays. After your busy days you will appreciate the friendly atmosphere in Old Town´s restaurants, bars and pubs.

Old Town Square
The most important square in the city visited all around the year by millions of tourists. The most notable building in this square is the Old Town Hall with its remarkable Astronomical Clock.

Charles Bridge
The oldest bridge in Prague, built in the 14th century during the king Charles IV´s rule. The bridge has been decorated by 30 statues and 3 high towers.

Powder Tower
It is a part of Old Town fortifications from the end of the 15th century. There is a fine view of the Old Town from the gallery.

St-Nicholas Church
An outstanding Baroque church from the first half of the 18th century. Nowadays there are concerts almost every day.

Convent of St-Agnes
Founded by Wenceslas I before 1234 at the request of his sister Agnes. The extensive complex of conventual buildings comprises a monastery and a convent, two churches, a chapter house and several chapels. At the present time it is used by the National Gallery (exhibitions of the old Czech art).

Hradčany
The only one Prague´s quarter not founded by a king. This area is situated on the hill above the city, it extends around the Prague Castle. Always it was a place of rich men, nobility and Czech rulers. Nowadays there is the seat of the Czech President.

Prague Castle
According to the legend it was founded by the Princess Libuše, the progenitress of Czech kings of the Přemysl´s House. In fact the Castle was founded in 884 and it was always a seat of Czech princes and kings, since 1918 the Castle has served as the residence and office of Czech Presidents.

St-Vitus Cathedral
The Prague Castle is dominated by the splendid Gothic cathedral. Its construction was started in the 14th century but finished only in the beginning of the 20th century. The interior is a shrine of Czech art from the Gothic Age to the present days. Here is the tomb of the Czech Kings, the famous shrine containing the Coronation Jewels.

Old Royal Palace
The most remarkable monument of the Late Gothic epoch of the Prague Castle is the monumental Vladislav Hall with fine vaulting.

St-George´s Basilica
With the adjoining convent of the Benedictine nuns, the basilica is the oldest historical sight in Prague - from the 10th century. In this complex you can admire the Czech Art from the Gothic to the Baroque period.

Golden Lane
Short picturesque lane inside of the Prague Castle´s complex.. According to legends there lived alchemists and people producing gold by artificial way. Now it is one of the Prague´s most visited sights.

Lesser Town
This quarter extends on the left side of the Vltava river. It is full of Baroque buildings, all tourists will be surprised by the charm, unique beauty and a certain artistic esprit in the area. In the Lesser Town there are plenty of silent gardens, monumental churches, pastel facades on aristocratic houses.

St-Nicolas Church
Most beautiful Prague´s church built in the 18th century by Bavarian architects..Monumental organ is used all around the year for concerts.

Kampa Island
Small green island in the Vltava river, situated under the Charles Bridge. It is one the most romantic places in the city.

Wallenstein Garden
Albrecht Wallenstein was a famous commander in the first half of the 30 years War. His palace is used at the present time by the Czech Senat and a large nice garden is open for everybody.

Church of Our Lady Victorious
The first Prague church built in the Baroque style in the middle of the 17th century. Many tourists arrive to Prague just for seeing a small worldwide famous Infant Jesus´wax statue of this church. In the course of time, miraculous power came to be attributed to the beautifully dressed figure. Divine services in different languages.

Neruda´s street
The main axis passing through the Lesser Town. There are nice shops, cafés, small restaurants, family hotels. You can admire old signs above all entrances and doors in the street. Jan Neruda was a Czech poet, writer and journalist in the 19th century.

New Town
This quarter was founded in the 14th century as the latest one among all the Prague quarters. There is not so many historical sights, it is rather the centre of contemporary Prague´s life, there are banks, restaurants, hotels, pubs, nightclubs, luxurious shops…

Wenceslas Square
Each city in the world has its city centre: in Prague it is the Wenceslas Square. This place is dominated by a huge building of the National Museum and a horse statue of St-Wenceslas, patron of Czech lands. At this square you can find hundreds of bookshops, banks, restaurants, hotels…

Municipal House
The most beautiful example of the Modern Style from the beginning of the 20th century. Worldwide famous painter Alfons Mucha decorated the main hall. Concerts, festivals, exhibitions are held in this recently restored palace situated perfectly on the border between the New Town and the Old Town.

National Theatre
Complex situated on the embankment of the Vltava river. There are 3 theatres, the most interesting is the Laterna Magica Theatre with its nice performances. Don´t miss one of them.

National Street
Commercial zone between Wenceslas Square and the Vltava river. In this street you will see several buildings with modern style´s facades. Modest monument commemorating the Velvet Revolution in 1989.

Charles Square
The largest square in Prague with a park in its centre. On the north-west side of the square there is a monumental New Town Hall, nice example of the Renaissance style.

Jewish Quarter
Like every medieval town, Prague also had its ghetto, the Jewish Quarter. Since everytime Jews have lived on the right Vltava river side and still nowadays we can find there prints of this community. In spite of demolishing of many synagogues and reducing the Jewish territory, we can admire six synagogues converted into museums and mainly the old Jewish cemetery from the 15th century. Jewish quarter has always been an important and inseparable part of the Old Town.

Old-New Synagogue
An Early Gothic edifice, the oldest surviving Jewish prayer-house in central Europe. Till the present time there are services, it is not a museum like the others Prague synagogues. Inside you can admire the old vaulting, the inscriptions on walls, the mysterious atmosphere of this place.

Jewish Town Hall
Erected at the end of the 16th century, rebuilt in Baroque style. On the ground floor there is a kosher restaurant.

Jewish Cemetery
Burial ground from the first half of the 15th c. The cemetery is one of the most remarkable features in the Jewish Quarter. Burials were made here up till 1787, and a number of interesting gravestones, nearly all with inscriptions, from the 15th to the 18th century have survived.

Pinkas Synagogue
It was a privat house of prayer for wealthy families, rebuilt in Renaissance style from its original Late Gothic style, and after the WWII it became a memorial of the 77 297 Czech Jews killed during the Nazi occupation.

Spanish Synagogue
The youngest Prague Synagogue built only at the end of the 19th century in the beautiful Spanish style. The interior was recently restored and nowadays is used like a museum and a concert hall.
